OUTPUT FALL: Graded pepper being displayed for sale at a shop in Kochi. An anticipated fall in global production has helped to push up pepper prices, both in spot and futures market. After a period of nearly three years, spot pepper prices have topped the Rs 10,000 a quintal, while near-term futures contract is ruling at over Rs 11,000 a quintal.
