Paper stocks up on price rise talk

Paper stocks have been active of late on market expectation of a rise in product prices. JK Paper on Wednesday informed a hike of Rs 1,000 a tonne on coated paper from September 1.

Stocks such as Seshasayee Paper (11.3 per cent), JK Paper (9.8 per cent), Ballarpur Industries (4.6 per cent) and Tamilnadu Newsprint (3.14 per cent) have gained on a week-on-week basis.
