The Madras High Court heard the arguments filed by Novartis in connection with the writ petitions admitted by the Court and fixed the next date of hearing for September 13, a note from the company said.

The company had filed the writ against the Indian Patent Office's decision rejecting the patent application on its cancer drug Glivec.
