Kerala Govt declares bonus for staff

The State Government has declared bonus and festival allowance for employees for 2005-06. Those drawing a total salary not exceeding Rs 5,500 are entitled for a bonus payout of Rs 2,500, according to a special notification here. The payout will be calculated after taking into account the basic pay, personal pay, special pay, special allowance, personal allowance and dear allowance of five per cent.

Those who have been on the rolls as on March 31, 2006, are also entitled to receive the payout provided they have worked for a period of at least six months at a stretch. Those retiring during the period also are eligible for bonus. Bonus and festival allowance will be disbursed with effect from August 28 and a special Onam advance from August 30, the notification added.
