Infotech to expand in Bangalore

Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a Hyderabad-based geospatial and engineering services provider, is set to expand Bangalore operations and has performed "Bhoomi Pooja" on a two-acre site in Electronic City in Bangalore.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Infotech, Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, in a statement while thanking the Karnataka Government for alloting the land, said the company planned to immediately start building a facility (Phase-I) that will have 1 lakh sq.ft. of built-up space to house about 700 workstations.

"In keeping with the growth trend of Infotech's business, we have plans to build another facility (phase-II) of 1 lakh sq.ft area in the same campus," Mr Reddy said.

The new facility will have learning centres, cafeteria and accommodation to meet the needs of the frequent viditors from abroad. These will be ready for occupation by June 2007. At present, Infotech has three rented facilities in Bangalore that house about 400 associates for different customers. The company has 4,000 plus employees across locations.
