Events Web Extras - Management States - Kerala IIM-K to host seminar on marketing Our Bureau
Kochi , Aug. 18 The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) is organising its annual marketing seminar, `Synapse' on August 19 - 20. The event will offer insights into various facets of marketing, through talks by experts and a movie-marketing workshop. The theme for this year's event is `Marketing Revelations: Through the Seer Stone'. The Synapse series of seminars is organised by mPower, the marketing interest group at IIM K. The seminar will explore the world of marketing in movies through a full day workshop conducted by Yash Raj Films. The workshop will dwell upon product placements, marketing to NRIs and other such factors that have contributed to some of the biggest Bollywood hits in recent times, a press release from IIM-K has said.
The event also promises to be a platform for experienced industry practitioners to share their experiences and learning with the students.
The speakers who will offer their perspective on the theme of the event include Mr Syed Ahmed, ED-Marketing, ITC Ltd, Mr Anupam Dutta, Head of Dairy Business, Britannia Ltd, Mr Sudhakar Mallya, Director, Reach Technologies, Mr R Subramanian, Director, Subhiksha, Mr Jayant Pendarkar, VP, Head - Global Marketing, TCS Ltd,
Mr Sujit Samitran, Erehwon Consulting and Mr Amit Garg, AVP Marketing, Hindustan Times Media Ltd.
`Grocery Retailing - Facing the `kirana' challenge,' will be the theme on which B-school students from across the country will submit papers.
