ASCI workshop from Aug 17

The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) is conducting a two-day workshop on `Issues Before The National Knowledge Commission,' beginning August 17 here. About 40 participants are expected. The Centre had constituted the National Knowledge Commission (NKC) in June 2005 with Dr Sam Pitroda as Chairman to build excellence in the educational system to meet the knowledge challenges of the 21st century and increase India's competitive advantages. Mr M. Narasimham, Chairman - Court of Governors, ASCI; Dr S.K. Rao, Director General; Dr P.M. Bhargava, Vice-Chairman of NKC; and Prof V.S. Ramamurthy, former Secretary Department of Science and Technology, would speak on various issues.
