"The initial conjecture is it will take seven days for operations to resume. We will be able to start only after cleaning operations are over. Water has started receding since last night," company source said.

The emergency shut down of the Hazira complex of ONGC continued for the fourth day today. The heavy rains in catchment areas of Tapi river had forced ONGC to make emergency shut down on August 8. The Hazira gas processing plant receives around 40.5 million metric standard cubic meters of gas per day from ONGC's Offshore Bassein field and Panna, Mukta, Tapti (PMT) joint venture field.

The production loss is 1,650 mt per day of LPG, 3,350 mt per day of aromatic naphtha, 417 mt per day of superior kerosene oil and 48 mt per day of high-speed diesel.

The throughput to Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur pipeline is at present nil. The approximated loss of revenue is around Rs 19 crore a day, an ONGC official said. The company has also declared force majeures on three naphtha export shipments scheduled for loading in August from Hazira.
