Monster India `Magic' resume search

Monster India has announced the launch of `Magic Search', which redefines the paradigm of how employers conduct resume searches. Mr Vikas Agrawal, Vice-President (Technology), said: "In the current scheme of things, recruiters search by over 15 parameters, which are marked by fields.

However, we learned from our research that over 80 per cent of the searches done by recruiters are dictated by keywords. This insight was the genesis of Magic Search, which is nothing but a simple keyword text box where the recruiter can type anything to get the most accurate resume results." The product was developed in-house in India and took just 60 days to define and build.

Magic Search, according to the company, will change the way employers search for resumes. Monster India launched a complete makeover of the site in February 2006.
