Ratan Tata to head Tata Tele Maha

Mumbai , Aug. 11

Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd on Friday said that Mr Ratan N. Tata, has been elected as the Chairman of the company. The shareholders at the AGM, elected Mr Ratan Tata as the Director of the company and subsequently the board of directors elected Mr Tata as the Chairman of the board with effect from August 10, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company said Mr S. Ramadorai and Mr Arunkumar R. Gandhi were also appointed as Directors liable to retire by rotation.

Mr R. Gopalakrishnan and Mr Kishor A. Chaukar, Directors , who retired by rotation on August 10 did not offer themselves for re-election and consequently ceased to be directors from the said date. Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd is the listed subsidiary of Tata Teleservices Ltd.
