TN sales tax exemption hailed

The trade and industry sector has thanked the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, the Finance Minister and the Minister for Commercial Taxes for conceding its demands on sales tax exemptions in the State Budget.

The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Tamil Nadu Foodgrains Merchants Association, in their statements issued separately, have welcomed the sales tax exemptions on flour, made out of already tax exempted pulses, grams, fried gram and jaggery which are essential food items and instant sambrani in the form of tablets or sticks.
