The Hindu Business Line : BNKe. Solutions to set up integrated BPO complex

BNKe. Solutions Pvt Ltd, Kolkata's oldest ITES company, has announced that it will set up an integrated BPO complex at the Salt Lake Electronics Complex here, within the next 18-20 months at an estimated investment of Rs 45-50 crore.

Funds for the proposed BPO complex would be raised through internal accruals, debt from domestic financial institutions and external commercial borrowings, Mr Ajit Khandelwal, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of BNKe. Solutions Ltd, said.

New facility

Addressing a news conference here to mark the inauguration of the company's new BPO facility, Mr Khandelwal said the proposed integrated BPO complex would be spread over 1.2 acres of land and would combine the "best-of-the-breed technology, infrastructure and manpower".

With the new facility, the number of professionals engaged by the company would go up from 600 to 800 and the same would be ramped up to 1,000 by the end of the current fiscal. The cumulative investment already made by the company - since it commenced operations with 100 seats in mid-2000 - has gone up to Rs 20 crore.
