Airtel budget plan for TN pre-paid customers

Bharti Airtel Ltd has launched a budget plan for its pre-paid mobile customers in Tamil Nadu.

The plan would target three customer segments, said Mr P. Swaminathan, Chief Executive Officer, Mobility, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Tamil Nadu.

First, the student, for whom the chief benefit is the 100 free SMSs per day to local numbers across Tamil Nadu. Second, the government official, for whom the tariff rates are favourable - 60 paise per minute for an Airtel to Airtel call, and Re 1 for a call to any local mobile phone or landline.

For the young executive, the STD rates are slashed to Rs 2 per minute for an Airtel to Airtel call, and Rs 2.40 for an Airtel to `others' call.

Mr Swaminathan said apart from offering attractive tariff rates, the plan is also simple and easy to understand. Actress Ramya Krishnan launched the new pack.
