Hilton Corpn to manage Empee's hotel

The Empee Group, which has interests in hospitality, liquor and sugar, has achieved financial closure for its five-star deluxe hotel project in Chennai. Global hotel chain Hilton Corporation will manage the hotel. Mr M.P. Purushothaman, Chairman and Managing Director, Empee Group, said in a press release that the project cost is about Rs 185 crore. This 253-room hotel will have a destination bar, one all-day dining restaurant and two specialty restaurants. The banquet facility would include a large ballroom, which would accommodate around 1,000 people.
