The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a seminar on `India-Africa Project Partnership-Showcasing Opportunities', here on August 9 to understand the business opportunities that exist in Africa.

The seminar would be addressed by investment promotion agencies of several African countries. Heads of African missions stationed in India will also participate to promote their country, as an investment destination for Indian industry.

The main participants and speakers would be Ms Gennet Zewide, Ambassador Embassy of Ethiopia; Mr J Bentum-Williams, High Commissioner, Ghana High Commission; Lt Gen Kayumba Nyamwasa, Ambassador, Embassy of Rwanda; Mr K. Rosaiah, State Minister for Finance, Health & Legislative Affairs.

CII has organised two conclaves on `India-Africa Project Partnership' during March and November 2005. In these conclaves, 35 countries of Africa participated with over 358 participants and interacted with 695 companies in India, according to a CII press release here on Monday.

The seminar is an effort to disseminate information of `specific' projects in identified sectors to the Indian industry collated over the three conclaves in Africa and ensuring direct interaction with the investment promotion bodies and the African mission representatives.
