Gupta Synthetics PAT goes up

The Surat-based Gupta Synthetics Ltd has registered a net profit after tax of Rs 2.78 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006 on a net sales income of Rs 71.52 crore from operations, the company said in a release here.

For the same period in 2005, the company had recorded a net profit of Rs 2.57 crore on a net sales income of Rs 57.46 crore, according to unaudited financial results released after a meeting of the company's board on July 29. The basic and diluted earnings per share for the period were Rs 15.60 and Rs 16.31 respectively.
