AFL ties up with Cartridge World

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Aug. 2

Indian logistics brand AFL Pvt Ltd has announced a tie-up with Cartridge World, which is engaged in printer cartridge refilling. AFL, as the master-franchisee, will introduce the concept of `cartridge-refilling' through `Cartridge World' stores in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives.

Around 250 `Cartridge World' stores would be set up in India by 2010.

"The ink and toner market size in India is estimated to be over $300 million and is growing at a rate of over 20 per cent. Currently, Indian consumers have little choice between high-prized cartridges and cheaper, inferior quality compatibles.

Largest retailer

With sound technology and quality service, Cartridge World will address this shortcoming. Refilled cartridges will cost less by about 55 per cent over new ones," said Mr Naveen Rakhecha, CEO, Cartridge World, India, in a press meet.

With 1,500 stores spanning 40 countries, Cartridge World is the largest retailer for recycling and refilling of ink and toner cartridges in the world.

The Rs 875-crore AFL Pvt Ltd caters to almost every aspect of logistics and supply chain management.
