United Phosphorus Ltd has reported a net profit after tax and prior period adjustment of Rs 9.31 crore for the June 2006 quarter compared with Rs 14 crore in the year-ago period. Total income (net of excise and rebates and discounts) has increased to Rs 299.65 crore (Rs 241.25 crore). In its consolidated performance, the company reported a higher profit after tax of Rs 54.07 crore compared with Rs 38.39 crore in the year-ago period. Total income has increased to Rs 480.4 crore from Rs 407.49 crore. The company has appointed Mr Chirayu B. Amin as an Additional Director on its board.
