Siemens net profit up 43 pc

Siemens Ltd has reported a 43-per-cent jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 30 to touch Rs 56.50 crore against Rs 39.50 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Sales turnover was increased to Rs 1,052.30 crore(Rs 597.40 crore), up 76 per cent.

During the quarter, the company received new orders worth Rs 1,211 crore.

The company's board has decided to acquire the remaining 50 per cent stake in Flender Ltd, comprising 21.60 lakh equity shares, after October 1 from Flender AG, a subsidiary of Siemens AG Germany.
