Morarjee PAT up

Morarjee Textiles Ltd has reported an 42.67 per cent rise in profit after tax for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006 at Rs 2.24 crore against Rs 1.57 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Mr Harsh Piramal, executive Vice-Chairman, Morarjee Textiles, said, "The profit is basically the result of a weaving capacity expansion we undertook last year. This is the first full year that this revenue has come in."
