The Tea Trade Association of Coimbatore has welcomed the reduction in the rate of sales tax on teas sold through public tea auction. The Chairman of the Association, Mr U.V. Saraf, while welcoming the Government's decision to reduce the TNGST to 4 per cent and CST to 2 per cent thanked the State for exempting the sale of teas through auction from the levy of additional tax and surcharge.
