HCC turnover, net rise

Mumbai , July 22

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd has reported a rise of 10.86 per cent in net profit at Rs 25.12 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, compared to Rs 22.66 crore in the corresponding quarter the previous year. Net sales have grown by 21.11 per cent to Rs 580.62 crore (Rs 479.43 crore).

"HCC will continue to focus on large projects, which will help in building the nation's infrastructure," the company said in a press release quoting its Chairman & Managing Director, Mr Ajit Gulabchand. Total income increased to Rs 573.54 crore (Rs 461 crore). Other income has increased substantially to Rs 6.21 crore (Rs 1.37 crore).
