USFDA approval for Zydus drug

Ahmedabad, July 20

Zydus Cadila has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Meloxicam tablets, 7.5 mg and 15 mg, in the American market.

The company said in a release here that the drug falls in the pain management segment. The branded sales of Meloxicam tablet in the US market in 2005 were pegged at USD $1.26 billion.
