New Products & Services States - Andhra Pradesh Honda Civic launched in AP Our Bureau
Hyderabad , July 17 Honda Civic, the eighth generation D-segment largest selling sedan from the Honda stable, is on a roll in India and has notched up over 2,500 bookings in less then two weeks of its launch. Honda SEIL India Ltd, expects to sell about 12,000 Civic cars this fiscal, and is expanding its manufacturing base in the country with an investment outlay of Rs 400 crore. Launching the Civic in the State, the Director Marketing, Honda SEIL, Mr H. Shimizu, said that the sedan would be manufactured with 68 per cent localisation, which is to be increased to 80 per cent within the next two years." Apart from targeting successful professionals and youth, Honda believes that many of its City ownerscould potentially upgrade to Civic. While strengthening the dealer network and sales and services centres, Honda expects this network to go up to 66 from the present 51 by the end of current financial year.
