New KCDC Director

Mr Muralidhar V. Prabhu, former President of Mangalore Cashew Manufacturers' Association, has been nominated as the Director of Karnataka Cashew Development Corporation (KCDC) Ltd. A press release by the Karnataka Cashew Manufacturers' Association has said here that the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation of the Union Ministry of Agriculture has nominated Mr Prabhu as KCDC Director to represent the interest of cashew growers and processors. KCDC Ltd is a joint sector company of the State and the Central governments. It was established in 1978 as a subsidiary of the Karnataka Forest Department. Currently, KCDC has 26,893 hectares of land under cashew cultivation.
