Orchid's ANDA gets USFDA nod

Chennai, July 12

The US Food and Drug Administration has approved the Chennai-based Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals' Abbreviated New Drug Application of Cephalexin oral suspension, according to a press release from Orchid. Cephalexin, an off-patent molecule, is among Orchid's distribution alliance with Par Pharmaceuticals Inc, US. Orchid's Cephalexin capsules are now being marketed in the US in distribution partnership with Par.

Orchid distributes 12 dosage forms, oral solids and injections in the US market including the latest approved suspension, the release said.
