Retailing McDonald's India to open 100 more outlets in next 3 years Our Bureau

Hyderabad , July 5 McDonald's India is planning to open 100 more outlets across the country in the next three years. The global fast food giant will invest Rs 300 crore during the period. According to Mr Amit Jatia, Managing Director and joint venture partner (West and South), the company would increase the number of outlets to 110 by the year-end from the present 91. McDonald's in India worked through two 50:50 joint ventures, one for the North and East and the other for West and South. In the North and East, it operated 56 outlets. Mr Amit was here in connection with the launch of company's first outlet in Andhra Pradesh at Prasads IMAX multiplex. Addressing a press conference, he said the company would add eight more outlets in the South, including three each in Hyderabad and Bangalore. Declining to speak on the company's financials, Mr Amit said the company served 60 lakh customers a month. In India, the company so far invested about Rs 800 crore.
