Our Bureau

Coimbatore, July 3

A technical seminar on enhancing cotton with the use of `Lenzing' fibres will be held here tomorrow. The seminar is being jointly organised by the city-based Lakshmi Mills Company Ltd and the European man-made fibre company Lenzing AG, Austria. The seminar will throw light on newer developments involving application of `tencel' fibre, one of the man-made fibres being marketed globally by the Lenzing AG. The R&D team from Lenzing, Austria will appraise the aesthetics and performance characters of the cellulosic fibre brand including its high tenacity, which will enhance the overall quality of the yarn produced by blending it with the cotton, according to a communication from Lakshmi Mills Company.
