CII workshop on dyeing at Coimbatore

An international workshop on `Implications of EU directives on REACH (registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals) norms on Indian textile and dye industry' will be held here on July 5. The workshop intended to focus on issues and challenges relating to the European Union's implementation of REACH from next year and its likely impact on India's textile trade, is to be jointly held by the International Council of Swedish Industry and the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Nagpur-based advanced research institute, NetPEM Public Trust.

Among those who will attend the one-day workshop include Mr Nayan Parikh, Chairman, Textiles Committee, Ministry of Textiles, Mr Andreas Von Der Heide, Chief Executive Officer of the NIR, Mr K.P. Nyati, Principal Advisor, CII (Centre of Excellence for Sustainable development) and Dr Chandra Prakash Singh, Secretary (Textiles), Government of Tamil Nadu, according to a CII press release.
