Praj Ind bags orders worth $20 m

Mumbai, June 27

Praj Industries Ltd has announced that it has bagged two orders from the US-based Cilion Group for $20 million. The order is for the supply of technology and machinery for the setting up of two plants. In total, Cilion is planning to set up eight ethanol plants.

It has also selected the company's technology for an additional two plants for which machinery orders are yet to be released. The first two plants, with a capacity of over 600,000 litres per day each (55 million gallons per annum), are scheduled to go on stream by mid-2007. The total capacity planned by Cilion is 440 mgpy in 2008.

On Tuesday, shares of Praj fell by Rs 7.80 to Rs 156.05 on the BSE.
