India to host ICCO Global Summit

Our Bureau

New Delhi, June 21

India will host the 2006 ICCO (International Communications Consultancy Organisation) Global Summit in October. ICCO is the apex body of over 850 public relations consultancies across the globe. The theme of this year's summit would be "Forget Best Practices, Think Next Practices," shifting the focus from today to tomorrow, and underlining the need for the communications business in a changing world. Speakers will also include corporate chiefs and ambassadors from the new media.

It is the first time that the annual summit is being organised in Asia, reflecting the growing importance of the region in the world economy.
