Coca-Cola World Cup carnival

Our Bureau

Kochi , June 20

A three-week-long FIFA World Cup carnival organised by Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd has officially been inaugurated in Kottayam.

Over the next three weeks, the carnival will move to Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Malappuram, staying for three days in each city, and culminate in Kozhikode with the final match on July 9.

The carnival will feature a huge screen providing live telecast and highlights of various matches.

It will stay at Ernakulam during June 23-25 at the International Stadium, Kaloor; at Thrissur, from June 29-July 1 at the Banerjee Club, and at Malappuram from July 3-5 at the Janata Mandir Hall in Manjeri. In its last leg, the carnival will remain in Kozhikode from July 7-9.

INTERACTIVE GAMES

Besides providing an opportunity to watch the matches live on a big screen, the carnival will host a variety of interactive games and contests.

"We are glad to provide an opportunity to football fans of Kerala to celebrate the FIFA World Cup with the official sponsors of the game," said Mr Cherian Paul, Sales and Marketing Manager, Kerala.

The company has rolled many marketing programmes centred around the World Cup matches across the country, including the Gyarah Hindustani contest, he added.
