The Hindu Business Line : UB Holdings calls meet on July 13

United Breweries Holdings has called for an extra ordinary general meeting on July 13 seeking shareholders' approval to raise up to Rs 1,500 crore from banks or financial institutions for company's requirements. In a notice to the BSE, the company said the meeting will also seek approval for providing guarantees on behalf of McDowell & Company and Kingfisher Airlines. The meeting will also seek approval to raise up to Rs 250 crore to invest in equity capital of Kingfisher Airlines and to provide guarantees up to Rs 5,000 crore on behalf of Kingfisher Airlines for acquisition of aircraft or for any other purpose of the airline. Shareholders' approval will also be sought to issue bonus shares in proportion of one new share for every one share held.
