Edible oils recover

Mumbai , June 12

All major edible oils recovered on the local edible oil market on Monday on renewed buying interest amid reduced offerings.

Imported crude soya oil was up Re 1 at Rs 377 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was up Rs 2 at Rs 402 per 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was up Rs 2 at Rs 326 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was up Rs 7 at Rs 482 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was steady at Rs 395 per 10 kg.

In futures segment, castorseed August contracts ended higher at Rs 1,565 per quintal, up by Rs 9.

Sugar mixed

Sugar spot prices ruled mixed on the Vashi wholesale market on Monday on lack of fresh buying interest.

Small grade (S-30) was down at Rs 1,898-1,920 per quintal, while medium grade (M-30) was up Rs 10 at Rs 1,920/1,980 per quintal.
