IHDP to be ready by September

Our Bureau

New Delhi, June 11

The five-acre International Home Décor Park (IHDP) to come up in Noida will be ready for exporters to transact business by September, according to its director, Mr Aditya Gupta.

Slated to be a one-stop shop for buyers who come to source home décor products from India, IHDP is looking at initially clocking gross exports of around $400 million (Rs 1,832 crore).

Infrastructure available to around 100 exporters at the Park will include the showroom itself plus enabling services such as studios and a service centre for designing, packaging and shipping of products. "Each day over a hundred buyers from different countries enter the Capital. Each one has a specific agenda and for each specific product they have to travel to various parts of the country. For example, those looking for glassware rush to Ferozabad, and those interested in brassware go to Moradabad.

IHDP will serve as a one-stop solution for all such requirements and save the buyer time and resources for bulk purchase," said Mr Gupta.
