Gold & Silver Gold, silver decline further Our Bureau
Mumbai , June 7 Precious metals fell further on the local bullion market on Wednesday on increased offerings by stockists amid weak overseas market. Standard gold prices were down Rs 160 at Rs 9,300 per 10 gm from Rs 9,460 per kg. Pure gold (99.99 fineness) was down Rs 165 to close at Rs 9,350 per 10 gm from Rs 9,515. Silver (.999 fineness) price was down Rs 425 to close at Rs 17,855 from Rs 18,280 a kg on weak overseas market. Chennai: Bar silver: Rs 18,265; retail silver (per gm): Rs 19.55; Standard gold: Rs 9,430; retail ornament gold (22 carat per gm): Rs 873. Kolkata: Silver ready: Rs 17,300; Gold ready: Rs 9,475.
