Chemicals Jayshree Chem Q4 net down at Rs 43 lakh Our Bureau
Kolkata , May 8 Jayshree Chemicals Ltd of the S.K. Bangur Group, manufacturer of facilities of caustic soda and chlorine in Orissa, has come out with improved financial results for the year ended March 2006. As per the audited figures for 2005-06, net sales / income from operations increased by 24 per cent to Rs 45.22 crore from Rs 36.52 crore in the previous year. Profit before taxation also jumped by 240 per cent to Rs 10.09 crore (Rs 2.97 crore). Net profit after considering deferred tax of Rs 3.98 crore and current/fringe benefit tax of Rs 0.13 crore, posted at Rs 5.98 crore against Rs 7.35 crore which includes deferred tax reversal of Rs 4.38 crore. Net profit for the year without considering deferred tax impact is Rs 9.96 crore against Rs.2.97 crore in the previous year. According to Jayshree source, earning per share for the year is Rs 18.68 before adjustment of deferred tax against Rs 5.58 in the previous year.
Highest-ever output
It has also achieved highest ever production of 22,847 tonnes in the year under review against 20,462 tonnes in the previous year. Production during April was 2,105 tonnes, which is the highest for the particular month. However, the company has earned a net profit of about Rs 43 lakh on a turnover of Rs 9.76 crore during Q4 in 2005-06 as against a net profit of about Rs 6.79 crore (includes deferred tax reversal of Rs 4.38 crore) and a turnover of about Rs 12.32 crore during the same quarter previous year.
