Advertising Saatchi & Saatchi floats talent management arm Our Bureau
New Delhi , May 4
Saatchi & Saatchi has announced the formation of a new corporate entity in India - ICONIX, a talent management agency. ICONIX launched its operation with managing the interests of the little master Sachin Tendulkar. In a statement issued here, the company said, ICONIX aims to create and execute strategic innovative initiatives for clients that will build profitable bridges between consumers and talent icons. Mr V. Shantakumar, CEO & Managing Director, Saatchi & Saatchi, said, "The future of the discipline is bright in India and needs a change in terms of management style and vision." Commenting on his new association, the little master said, "I am delighted to be the first client for this new venture. I have entrusted this new entity with the assignment of managing my affairs and have full confidence in their capabilities and in the fact that they will provide the requisite continuity to the brands I am currently associated with." The management team for ICONIX in India will be headed by Mr Harish Krishnamachar and Mr Vinod Naidu. ICONIX is being launched with the management of Sachin Tendulkar but will move onto other talent in the areas of entertainment in addition to sports. The agency will manage all of Sachin's existing brand associations as well as the new ones. The new entity will begin operations as soon as incorporation formalities are completed. ICONIX will have representation in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi.
