New Delhi, May 4

Greenply Industries Ltd announced the commencement of production at its manufacturing facility at Pant Nagar Industrial estate in Uttaranchal. The facility has been set up to manufacture plywood and particle boards. The plant has the capacity of producing almost 75,00,000 square metres of plywood per annum, while the particle board production capacity would be 20,00,000 square metres, according to a company release. The particle boards production would start by July.

It has been set up at a cost of Rs 80 crore which has been arranged through a mix of debt and equity, said the company. The plant, spread over an area of 25 acres, will primarily cater to the domestic market.
