Farmers' convention

Mangalore, May 3

The Moodbidri zone of the Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha (KRRS) will organise a convention of farmers at Moodbidri in Dakshina Kannada district on May 5. A KRRS press release said here that the convention would discuss issues related to the impact of Seed Bill on farmers and the impact of globalisation on agriculture. There will also be sessions on organic farming and water management. The Karnataka Horticulture Minister, Mr B. Nagaraja Shetty, will participate in the valedictory function on that day, the release added.
