`Surge in traffic major challenge for AAI'

The surge in air traffic in the recent times is one of the major challenges faced by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), according to Mr K. Ramalingam, Chairman, AAI.

Speaking at the 11th anniversary celebrations of the AAI, he said the surge in traffic was because of the growth of low-cost airlines and the AAI was well- prepared to handle the increase in traffic.
