Punit Garg to head FLAG Telecom

Mr Punit Garg has been appointed President of FLAG Telecom and will head that company in the place of Mr Patrick Gallagher, who moves on to become its non-executive Vice-Chairman.Mr Garg will be the first Indian to head FLAG, now part of the Reliance Communication Ventures group. He was earlier President, International Business, Reliance Infocomm. He will continue to be part of the parent company's senior management team, said a Reliance Communications news release.Mr Garg's appointment is expected to hasten the process of assimilation of the global carrier with its parent company under the new management and put it on a faster growth trajectory, said the statement.
