TN gauge conversion project

New Delhi , April 25

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd has awarded the gauge conversion project of Attur- Salem section, on the Southern Railway in Tamil Nadu, to DS Construction Ltd.

According to a press release, the project envisages gauge conversion of the existing meter gauge single line to broad gauge railway line of Attur - Salem section (56 kms).

The cost of the project is Rs 61.48 crore and is to be completed over a period of 12 months.
