Ishtaa 18-carat jewellery range launched

Coimbatore-based Emerald Jewel Industry and Mumbai-based Clarity Gold have set up a 75:25 joint venture company, Ishtaa Gold Jewellery.

The newly formed company will market jewellery products under the brand name `Ishtaa'.

The Ishtaa range consists of rings, earrings, pendants, pendant sets, necklace sets, bangles, and bracelets. Priced between Rs 1,000 and Rs 20,000 the complete range is being launched simultaneously in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu under a shop-in-shop model and would cover 2,000 outlets countrywide within a year.

Rs 5-cr investment

"Emerald Jewel Industry and Clarity Gold will invest about Rs 5 crore in Ishtaa over a period of time. The jewellery sold under this brand will be 18 carat," Ishtaa Gold Jewellery Pvt Ltd Managing Director, Mr K. Srinivasan, told reporters.

Set in 18-carat gold, the Ishtaa range is studded with Cubbic Zirconia from Signity (a Swarovski and Golay company).
