Kochi, April 12

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has conducted online exams for postgraduate medical and dental courses for the first time in the country. Around 7,000 students registered for the online exam, which was conducted at test centres in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Manipal and Ernakulam. Dr H.S. Ballal, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, said that the response for the online exam had been exceptionally good and there were plans to extend it to about 25 centres next year to reach out to more students. There are plans to introduce counselling and admissions through video conferencing as well, he said.
