Maditssia sore over SBI strike

Our Correspondent

Madurai, April 6

The Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries' Association (Maditssia) is extremely sore over the State Bank of India staff strike over the issue of revision of pension benefits. The association President, Mr S. Aravind, in a statement, said that while Maditssia was not against the claim of their right, the indefinite strike has affected lakhs of customers, especially the business people.

The bank staff can continue customer service to the public by denying financial and banking information to the Government during the strike. The strike is unfortunate and the Government's inability to avert it on time is equally deplorable, he added.
