Hyderabad , April 3

Integreo, a business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions provider, on Monday announced that it has changed its corporate name in India to Zavata Inc.

This follows a court ruling on unintentional trademark infringement with a similarly named BPO entity.

Consequently, the company had to change its recently chosen name. The company's Indian operations, earlier known as Integreo India, will henceforth be referred to as Zavata India.

The Chairman of Zavata, Mr Satish Sanan, in a statement said: "We were initially disappointed with the verdict, but now we are looking forward to assuming the new company name, Zavata. Zavata will continue to pursue acquisitions in the healthcare industry. Our customers will not be affected by any change in our business strategy due to this name change."

Effective January 1, the company began operating under Zavata brand name, while the STI Knowledge, Inc brand will continue to support its education and certification business.

Zavata employs over 1,000 people and handles over 1,200 customers in healthcare, insurance and Government agencies.

So far, Zavata has raised approximately $80 million in venture funding.
