Sterlite Optical share allotment

Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock exchange that the committee of directors constituted for preferential allotment, at its meeting held on March 29, has allotted equity shares and warrants to Twinstar International Ltd, Mauritius, promoter aggregating Rs 33.6 crore. The company has allotted 28 lakh shares at Rs 100 per share, aggregating Rs 28 crore. It has also allotted 56 lakh warrants with the option to convert each warrant into one equity share of Rs 5 each, within 18 months period from the date of allotment. The company received Rs 5.6 crore on these warrants. Shares of Sterlite Optical moved up by 1.02 per cent to Rs 94 in Thursday's trade on the BSE.
