Airlines States - Kerala Seminar on civil aviation in Thiruvananthapuram Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , March 28 The Aerospace Engineering Division of the Institution of Engineers-Kerala State Centre is holding a two-day all-India seminar on `New horizons in civil aviation' on Wednesday and Thursday. The seminar aims to bring together experts from the industry, said Dr M.S.R. Dev, Chairman of the organising committee, and Mr S.R. Vijayamohanakumar, Secretary. Participants will deliberate on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the civil aviation sector. Mr S.Y. Savur, Air Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Southern Air Command, will inaugurate the seminar. The organisers said that the adoption of an open sky policy has provided a massive boost to the commercial aviation sector in the country. Mushrooming airlines and acquisition of entire fleets have triggered a flurry of activity in the sector.
