People Kurien's resignation accepted Our Bureau
"All the 12 members of the Federation met at Anand today and placed on record Dr Kurien's outstanding cooperation to the dairy sector and his role in making Amul the largest food products brand in India with a turnover of Rs 3,600 crore. They also accepted his resignation as Chairman," a GCMMF official said from Anand. The Federation has also authorised GCMMF Managing Director, Mr B.M. Vyas, to approach the District Collector to initiate the process of electing a new Chairman, the official said. GCMMF will also felicitate Dr Kurien for his contribution on a date suitable to the `Milkman', he added.
